It was 1:45 pm at NWSS (New Westminster secondary school). I was in Math class getting ready to go to English class. All of a sudden our principal comes on the P.A and tells us there's a lock down situation.
Everyone ran to the sides of the walls and under the desks. We waited....and waited.....and waited some more.
Two hours later my friend gets a text message from his mom saying that there was a 14 year old with a gun and that everything will be fine.
Two hours and 45 minutes later the principal came on the P.A again. Finally!
Now she said that tomorrow there is no school and that the SWAT team (yes i said SWAT team) would knock on our classroom doors and escort us out.
5 minutes passed and we heard a knock. We opened the door and this awesome SWAT guy was standing in the hall. He was carrying an MP5. Sweet!
So we were escorted out of the school and luckily no one got hurt and the gun was not found on anyone.

Im an nwss student. im really glad we dont have school tomorrow. And I hope they catch this guy. I mean he freaked my friends out and made my legs sore from sitting in one spot for so many hours. I got out of the school at 5:45!
Does anybody now if somebody is getting charged and if it was only 1 person or more and if they are all arrested????
no but i think they caught them. or they will tell us at school about what happened in a notice. and i heard they didnt find any guns

well we got the announcement that they would come and get us and we waited 5 minutes and they came and we got escorted. Cause we were in pearson and thats were they were first i think.

omg 5 minutes, lame, i never really thought there was a threat, i texted my friends and told them people were having sex in my class lol, they wont tell us who did it cause he was 14, they should not have even realeased that information
im a student at nwss and ive heard it was a 14 year old seen with a gun and then police did not catch him, but they believe he lives in vancouver.
im pretty sure we were one of the last classes to leave, i got home at around 6:30 and it wasnt that pearson got out first, ppl texting were hearing that the schools top floor got out first on both wings. i also heard this boy was tring to settle a dispute about (a) car(s)?
well i was on pearson top floor. so i got out pretty fast

Adam i was expecting the story to be longer. 1st lets get some things strait thou the princable did not say "SWAT" she said police evacuation and Canada dosn't have a "SWAT" team we have a Tactical Responce Unit thouse were the guys with the "MP5s". And another thing you dont open your door in the midle of a lockdown nomater who you mite think it is what if it was the kid with the gun?

but the principal said to open it. Duh. and whatever i dont care what they were SWAT or ERT they were still pretty cool.
